Leonardo and Antonella Cicerale founded THE MASTERPIECE PROJECT in 2011 with the desire to share the Gospel through music. Music has the ability to communicate in a profound way; and the Word of God is full of references to music, over 400 have been counted.
For years Leonardo and Antonella have been engaged in the dissemination of theologically sound music through the translation and production of profound and rich Gospel passages. They desire to bless and fortify in the faith those who listen and sing their music.
The combination of Scripture and music is the heart of their mission because the eternal truths of God’s Word are truths that the Church of God must sing; not only to express deep and authentic praise, but also for a spiritually educational purpose (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:18-19).
In 2016 the album IL DIO CHE ADORIAMO was released containing 10 tracks, including 8 songs translated from Sovereign Grace Music, one of the Getty’s, and an instrumental hymn.
This project stems from a desire to provide new resources for churches and encourage God’s people to sing the wonders of the Gospel.
For years The Masterpiece Project has had the privilege of collaborating with a collective of musicians and artists who share the same vision and commitment to the kingdom of God. Together they carry out musical projects of various kinds.
Leonardo and Antonella have been married since 2004 and are parents to their daughter Gaia.

Leonardo was born and raised in a Christian family in southern Italy and among the solid teachings of the Word of God. He remembers his house always full of people eager to know Christ and learn from the Scriptures.
From an early age, he showed a love for cooking and dreamed of becoming a chef. So at the age of 14 he began his hotel studies, but in this period he also began his great rebellion towards his parents and even more towards God. His studies often took him to Switzerland and it was there, finding himself alone and in a foreign country, he began to read the Bible again and those truths penetrated his heart and transformed him profoundly. In Switzerland, Leonardo surrendered to Christ and decided to follow Him.

Antonella was born in Rome and grew up in Foggia with her mother, who came to know the Lord during a very difficult period of her life when Antonella was just 9 months old.
For Antonella, her mother, despite all the difficulties of the life of a single mother, is a point of reference and a great example of integrity and faithfulness to God.
An unforgettable memory from her childhood was the smell of coffee early in the morning and the voice of her mother reading the Bible and praying in a low voice so as not to wake her up.
Her mother’s deep and constant love for the Scriptures inspired and encouraged Antonella in the most difficult moments growing up. And precisely in one of those moments, when she was still very young, during the telling of a story from the Bible, Antonella placed her faith in Christ and from that moment Christ became for her the source and support of her life.
