Leonardo was born and raised in a Christian family in southern Italy and among the solid teachings of the Word of God. He remembers his house always full of people eager to know Christ and learn from the Scriptures.

From an early age, he showed a love for cooking and dreamed of becoming a chef. So at the age of 14 he began his hotel studies, but in this period he also began his great rebellion towards his parents and even more towards God. His studies often took him to Switzerland and it was there, finding himself alone and in a foreign country, he began to read the Bible again and those truths penetrated his heart and transformed him profoundly. In Switzerland, Leonardo surrendered to Christ and decided to follow Him.

After completing his hotel studies, he became a chef and a pizza maker and began working in various restaurants from the north to the south of Italy, in Germany and also returned to Switzerland. Along with cooking, however, he also cultivated his passion for music. At home he grew up with both Keith Green’s music and classical hymns, which became a rich treasure in his little heart.

His mother says that at the age of 4 he composed his first little melody on the piano and at the age of 7 he started taking piano lessons. He also learned to play bass and guitar, but it was the “sound” that attracted him the most. So he dedicated himself to sound engineer courses. He had his first professional experience as an audio service and sound assistant for an Albino Montisci tour in 2004 in Campania. From here he began  to work as a sound engineer with the determination to always work with excellence for the glory of God.

Over the years he collaborates with some ministries (Porte Aperte, Italian Ministries, Isola del Gran Sasso, Reflection, Coram Deo, The Gospel Coalition Italia, Acts29Europe, national apostolic meetings) and participates in various Christian events with various artists (Andrew Peterson, Giorgio Ammirabile, Nico Battaglia, Stefano Rigamonti and Lidia Genta, Giuseppe De Chirico, Mark Tedder, Davide Di Lecce, Angelo Maugeri, gli Eman), in 2011 in Turin he was the technical organizer of the service for the Atleti di Cristo event with Hillsong London, then in 2007 in Milan for M.W. Smith with Compassion and in 2008 for Rebecca St James with the Atleti di Cristo. They collaborate with various Italian churches in the design and installation of the audio system, and providing courses on audio technique. From their home in Mantova, he serves as a sound engineer and provides audio services for several local artists, concerts, and other events in the area.

Today Leonardo is no longer a chef by profession, but he still loves using his culinary skills to create meals at home together with Antonella, to have friends in their home, and to offer opportunities for friendship and hospitality as a taste of the great message of grace of Jesus. He also serves as a cook for some Christian events and conferences.
